1. Who We Are
Norvynn is a UK-based software service that helps dog owners track training progress, health records, nutrition, and more. References to "Norvynn", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to the Norvynn service and its operators. If you have any privacy-related questions or concerns, please reach out to us at privacy@norvynn.com.
2. What Data We Collect
Norvynn collects the information you choose to enter into the app, including dog profiles, training logs, health records, nutrition data, weight logs, GPS walk routes, and photos. Crucially, all of this data is stored locally in your browser's localStorage — it lives on your own device. By default, none of this information is transmitted to our servers. We do not have access to your dog's records, your GPS routes, or your photos unless you explicitly share them with us through a support channel.
3. AI Chat
If you use the AI chat feature, your messages are sent directly to Anthropic's API in order to generate a response. Anthropic's own Privacy Policy governs how they handle those messages. Norvynn does not store your chat messages on our servers; once your session ends, we hold no record of the conversation.
4. Payments
When you subscribe to Norvynn Pro, your payment is processed securely by Stripe. We never see, handle, or store your card details. Norvynn receives only a subscription status token confirming that your payment was successful and your plan is active. Stripe's Privacy Policy governs how your payment information is handled.
5. Analytics
Norvynn does not use any third-party analytics services. We do not embed Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or any similar tracking tools. No cookies are set by Norvynn itself for the purpose of tracking your behaviour across the web.
6. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary browser storage — specifically localStorage — to make the app function correctly (for example, to remember your dogs and their records between visits). We set no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, and no third-party cookies of any kind.
7. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to receive your data in a portable format, and to object to certain types of processing. Because the vast majority of your data is stored locally on your own device, you are already in direct control of it. You can exercise your right to erasure at any time by going to Settings → Data & Privacy → Clear all data. For any data we do hold (such as your subscription record via Stripe), please contact us at privacy@norvynn.com and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Data Retention
All app data (dog profiles, training logs, health records, etc.) resides in your browser's localStorage. Clearing your browser data removes it entirely — we cannot recover it on your behalf. We retain subscription and billing records, held by Stripe on our behalf, for 7 years in order to comply with UK tax and accounting obligations. Once that period has elapsed, such records are deleted.
9. Children
Norvynn is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 without parental or guardian supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take prompt steps to address it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law or our practices. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Norvynn after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
